About
The artist
Stephen L H Bradley
I write, paint and make music.
I’ve written ten novels using a strict stream of consciousness discipline I call ‘streaming’, a process that began when I was a teenager.
In London in 1999 I launched my first streamed novel, The Journey of the Flower Man (1990) at the exhibition Two Minds. I combined the exhibition and book launch in recognition that the process of making the paintings and the written works is the same.
For that reason, in 2013 in Sydney, I launched The Time Capsule (2012) at the exhibition She Dreams of Liberation.
In Katoomba, where I now live I presented, White Island (2001) and launched The Flying Mile (2016) at my exhibition, juncture: this is where you find me now.
I paint intuitively, recycling ‘found’ canvases discarded by other artists.
I make music with anybody who will work with me, but particularly with The Masses, a project I began with Nigel N Masters in the early 1980s, and Redundant Technology, which I founded with Simon H Ward in 2004.
