The making of this painting coincided with my relocation from Enmore in Sydney to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. I began the painting in Enmore, referencing a photograph of a sleeping Josh. It is a familiar scene to me, as Josh and I had been jammed into the Enmore flat for over a decade.

As you can see from the dates of making, my output had slowed considerably: Only Down the Barrel in 2013, nothing in ‘14 and ’15, this beginning in 2016 and not completed until quite a while later.
